Ferrite

Consist of a combination of iron oxide and barium (or strontium) carbonate. Ferrite magnets are produced through a sintering process.

The most commonly used

Known as the less expensive magnets, especially due to the widespread availability of the raw material. While having a limited magnetic energy, compared to other magnets, they are used in a wide variety of applications.

Advantages

Thanks to their excellent corrosion resistance, good resistance to demagnetization and low price, ferrite magnets are the most popular material on the market.

Applications

  • Electric Motors
  • Speakers
  • Alternators
  • Starters
  • Sensors
  • Reed - Switches
  • MRI
  • Magnetic Separation Equipment
  • Magnetic Lifting Systems
